Bunyola is a small and very traditional municipality dedicated to
agriculture, wood and olive oil production. It is next to the “Serra de
Tramuntana” and consist of five villages: Buynola, the gimlet of Orient,
Palmanyola, Sa Coma Puig Verd and Font Seca. The most attractive of
these is Orient for its traditional rural atmosphere, a mere group of
houses built on the mountain that has preserved that lovely rural taste.
Some of the restaurants in Orient are about the most popular in Majorca.
Most outstanding in Bunyola is the impressive church built in the 18th
century.
