The village of Campanet is situated next to the Serra de
Tramuntana (mountain range) and is traditionally
dedicated to agriculture, it has preserved the spirit
and aspects of a small town in inner Majorca. The
architecture is austere and functional and maintains the
image of the rural Majorcan world. Very well know is the
natural cave of Campanet that was discovered in 1945 and
have been opened to public since three years later.
These caves have a total extension of 3200 squared
metres and are 400 metres long. The caves have different
halls, which have been named as follows: the Romantic
Hall, the Lover’s Hall, the Virgen’s Parish, the Lake
Hall and the White Elephant Hall |
