:::: Escorca ::::
Escorca is a tiny built up area, hadly considerer a villa, whose total municipality extension is over 140 km2 makin it the largest on Majorca. It covers a large area of the most abrupt and also beautiful zones of "Serra de Tramuntana". The village has about 200 inhabitants and its reduced size is part of its charm. Interesting to visit is the parish church named San Pedro de Escorca. Another important tourist attraction found in the municipality is the Monastery Nuestra Señora de Lluc. This monastery is considered the spiritual centre of Majorca and is the destination of numerous processions and popular and traditional encounters year-long.
