Located next to the “Serra de Tramuntana”, this small and traditional community represents the ideal rural villages as used to exist in Majorca. “La Granja” (the Farm) is the most interesting tourist attraction of the locality, just 15 kilometres away from Palma. Its is a beautiful stately home built in the 10th century surrounded by thick woods, gardens and natural springs. La Granja is a mixture of noble and rustic styles. In other times it used to be not only a stately house but also a farm (hence its name). It is a magnificent sample of the ancient islander’s customs, all of which may be visited today by the tourist.
