Built on a gill in the 13th century, Montuiri ia a
village with a very typical rural aspect clearly visible
from the main road to Manacor. The raised land where the
village is situated includes many traditional windmills
and a characteristic rural architecture, which
corresponds to the centre of the island of Majorca. It
is a very genuine and traditional sight for the visitor.
Besides the already mentioned windmill and the peculiar
architecture there are many gothic styled stone crosses
used to mark distances on roads. The most important are
“Son Rafel Más”, “Ca Ses Monges” and “Las Tres Cruces”.
