Many inner land
towns and villages of Majorca have a connection to the sea through the
form of a port. In this way, Portocristo is the port of Manacor. In the
past it used to be an unimportant fishing port, today it has become an
important tourist centre. In its very well sheltered port is located the
marina and club. During the summer months the coming and goning of boats
in huge bur during the low season mainly the local people use it.
Another tourist attraction that has given Portocristo world-wide
reputation are the natural caves of the Drac and Hams, both are located
in the surroundings of the port |
