Sa Pobla is a municipality located in the north-eastern
part of the island. The main activity in this region is
agriculture focusing on the cultivation of potatoes.
This prosperous activity has enriched the village and
exports of the excellent potatoes are sent throughout
Europe. Nevertheless the municipality alos has some
cultural interests. The local church, for example, is a
magnificent building worth visiting. It includes a
sensational organ. Another sacred building worth
visiting is a tiny and austere chapel named "Son Mascord".
Also interesting are the "Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de
Mallorca", dedicated to Marjorcan artists and artist
having dedicated part of their time on the island and
the "Museo del Juguete" (toy museum), which holds a
collection of very ancient toys. |
